1.Who we are
The Cross River State Market Women Forum ("the Forum", "we") brings market women across the 18 local government areas of Cross River State into one verified membership. Our head office is at 21 Ndidem Usang Iso Road, Calabar.
We decide why and how your information is used, so we are the data controller under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. YOUreka Technologies runs the website, the IDID identity service and our member records on our behalf, under a written agreement that limits what it can do with your data.
2.What we collect
We only ask for what we need to register you, verify you and serve you as a member.
- Identity details: your name, photograph, date of birth and IDID number.
- Contact details: phone number, email address and home address.
- Membership details: your chapter, market, stall or shop number and cooperative.
- Business details: what you sell, your trading days and any sales records you choose to keep on EziBiz.
- Reports you send through iReport. You can send these without your name.
- Technical details such as the device and browser you use, collected to keep your account secure.
Some information is sensitive: the fingerprints and face photo used for your IDID card, and the health details on your Smart Health Card. We collect these only with your clear consent and keep them under stricter controls.
3.How we use your information
- To confirm who you are and that you trade in the market and chapter you named.
- To issue and renew your IDID member card.
- To tell you about meetings, training, grants and other opportunities you qualify for.
- To process EziBiz orders and deliveries.
- To follow up on iReport cases with your chapter and the right authority.
- To protect members from fraud and misuse of the Forum name.
- To produce statistics about markets and members. These never identify you.
4.Our lawful basis
We rely on your consent, on the membership agreement between you and the Forum, on legal duties we must meet, and on our legitimate interest in running a safe and well organised Forum. For sensitive data we rely on your explicit consent. You can withdraw consent at any time in Account and Security. This will not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
6.How long we keep it
We keep your member record while you are a member and for six years after you leave, because grant and financial records must be kept for audit. iReport cases are kept for three years after they close. Applications that are not completed are deleted after twelve months.
7.Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to take elsewhere. Most of this can be done in Account and Security. You can also write to our Data Protection Officer. We reply within 30 days.
If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
8.Keeping it safe
Your data is encrypted in storage and in transit, access is limited to people who need it, and every access to sensitive records is logged. If a breach puts your information at risk, we will report it to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission within 72 hours and tell you directly when it could affect you.
10.Age limit
Membership is for women aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
11.Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we will update the date at the top and tell members by SMS or in the app before the change takes effect.
