1.Our commitment
The Forum holds identity, business and sometimes health information for thousands of women. We treat that as a duty of care. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the General Application and Implementation Directive issued by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission in 2025.
2.Data Protection Officer
Our Data Protection Officer oversees how member data is handled and is your contact for any privacy question.

3.Biometric and health data
Fingerprints and face photos for IDID, and details on the Smart Health Card, are sensitive personal data. They are collected only with your explicit consent, stored separately with stronger encryption, and seen only by trained staff who need them. You can withdraw consent for the Smart Health Card at any time.
4.How to make a request

- 2Confirm it is youWe check your identity with your IDID number or a code sent to your phone.
- 3Get a reply within 30 daysWe will explain what we did. If we cannot do what you asked, we will say why.
5.If something goes wrong
We keep a written plan for data breaches. We report qualifying breaches to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission within 72 hours of becoming aware of them and contact affected members directly.
6.Who processes data for us
- YOUreka Technologies: hosting, IDID identity service and member records.
- SMS and WhatsApp messaging provider: meeting reminders and sign-in codes.
- Payment provider: EziBiz payments. We never see your full card details.
Each one works under a written agreement that meets the requirements of the Act.
7.Checks and audits
We assess new services that use personal data before they launch, review who has access every quarter, and file our compliance audit returns with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission as required.
8.Making a complaint
If you believe we have mishandled your data, contact our Data Protection Officer first. You can also complain directly to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng.
